We're going to Tagaytay today! :D It's actually a semi-impromptu thing and we don't really know where we're going after we get the special buko pie we ordered at the place where I had my 4th year retreat. :)

God, I miss the taste of that buko pie.. and I miss the whole place as well. It would definitely bring back so many high school memories. :D It's going to be Kevin's first time to be there and I must say i'm quite excited to bring him there.

I'm happy that we're going out often. I mean, not like the past summers. All I do is bum around the house. I love going out nowadays.

Buko Pie here I coooooommmeee! xD

Through gritted teeth.

I have braces now. Thanks to my soon to be sister-in-law who's actually a dentist, she gave me these metal thingamjigs.
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingActually, I don't have any problem with my teeth. I think they're fine, it's just that my mom, being the OC that she is, she wants to make my teeth look really good. Hence, the braces.

When I was younger, I thought braces were like a fucking status or something. You know, people who wears them just wants to show off their buckets and buckets of money. Hey, I'm a Conyo kid pare, I wear these fucking BRASHESH to look more conyo. Duuuuuude, they hurt my fucking gums, pare.

Eyng?

Maybe I am right one way or the other, but definitely not a hundred percent. Braces makes your life a teeny bit harder. Like food getting stuck in places that are so hard to reach that my tongue gets a lot of excercise nowadays. eyuch. excuse me.

and did I mention that for a couple of days I had a lisp?! a sanamagan LISP for crying out loud. there's always this irritating SSSHHH sound in some of my sentencesh. yep, there goes another one.

Good thing I got rid of that.

and it hurts like hell. reaaaallly. but i'm okay now, I guess. Nasanay na lang din siguro ako sa kakakagat ng pagkain na matitigas. hahaa! ;P I don't really know until when I have to wear them but I just hope they don't get in the way of anything important. Whatever it is.

---
EbeJalMitch.

I don't know if that was a Monday or a Tuesday but I was able to see Sugarfree on Okay Fine Whatever. I was so shocked to see that Jal was sporting a new 'do (is it just me, or is it really new? haha)and Ebe has long hair and Mitch looks the same. :p

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Ganon na ba talaga ako katagal hindi nanonood ng gig? Iba na mga itsura nila from the last time I saw them. It just felt weird.

Nevertheless, I was ecstatic to see them even on TV. I miss them so much. :(

---
New.

A couple of days back, my mom craved for ice cream out of the blue. I thought she only wanted to buy from the grocery but she wanted to go to the Magnolia resto in Aurora Blvd.

Gosh.

Magnolia in Aurora? Mukhang classic a. Classic in the sense that I havent been there for ages. As in AGES. I was having second thoughts of going there since the last time that I did, I felt as if I was in this really big and old freezer. But since of course, my mom wanted to go, I had no choice.

Lo and behold, the facade deceived me. ANG GANDA NA SA LOOB. seryoso. It was so fashionably 2006. Really.
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingFrom the menu to the tables and chairs, it was fantastically renovated. It was NEW. They opened just this April 19 or something.

and my goodness the FOOD IS AWESOME.
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingNot only do they have ice cream and ice cream cakes, they have pastas and pizzas and sandwiches that are definitely mouth watering.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I can't help but take pictures of the whole place. The ambience is lively, maybe because of the colors they picked for the whole place. It's definitely a fun fun experience. AND I think you should go there too. :)

---

Basketball.

I miss watching the PBA. I miss Ginebra.

Note to self: watch a game live. Preferrably Ginebra vs. Talk n Text. :D

Ooohh, speaking of which, is anyone aware that DENNIS RODMAN's here? :) cool huh. I think he's going to have a book signing in Fully Booked Gateway. Just not sure when.

hmm..I wanna see him.

---

Everything is on hold for me as of the moment.
My future is yet to unveil itself to me in the next few weeks.
I hope it turns out well.

The pain in the ass is over.

Thesis has been one of those things that older people would threaten me when I was about to enter college. They would tell me stories about their own experiences about how they had so much cramming to do and how pressured they were and how much sleep they got during those times. I might say it was fucking TERRIBLE and it scared the shit out of me.

Now that my own thesis is over and done with, I guess it was both preposterous and fun at the same time.

I mean, from the very beginning, we already had a hard time choosing which thesis topic we liked to center on. We wanted something interesting and new and most of all, we wanted something that we really like. Hence, we chose the field of music. To make the long story short, it was forever until we finally got to the bottom of our thesis topic.

...AND THEN WE HAD TO MAKE CHAPTERS ONE THROUGH FIVE.

THAT was difficult.

Soc and I would either do our thesis together in LaPis or at the same time at home. Yes people, we actually survived not having overnights in each other's house. I guess we knew deep inside that we can NEVER do anything inside my house (or hers) in the middle of the night except LAUGH, TALK and yes, SLEEP.

But I guess everything was ALL worth it. every word, every sentence, every paragraph. Every fucking one and a half hours interview that we transcribed. Every edit, every paraphrase, every deleted part, every single revision. Every single thing was all worth it.

Most especially when we saw the great transformation of our drafts to our BABY over here:

Image hosting by Photobucket

Isn't that beautiful or what? We never really expected that our thesis would be this thick. We just made it a point to do whatever our mentor and our (damn you!) reader told us to do.

Even though I felt good about that we already finished thesis and defense, I just can't help dissing our reader. SHE SUCKS BIG TIME! During defense, she was all grouchy at us. She kept on interrupting our powerpoint presentation and making rather pesky comments about why we did this or that. Goes to show that everything we did that she questioned was OKAY. Other groups has the same thing (e.g. the NEW conceptual framework on Chapter 4) and their readers were okay with it. Bwisit siya. We deserve a higher grade! gaddeeeemiiit. I wanted to die when I found out about it. Sayang lang e, we could've gotten our grades up.
Hambalos ko sa kanya tong hardbound e.

LESSONS LEARNED/REALIZATIONS while doing THESIS:

1. Even though you don't get to meet up with your mentor/adviser, do certain parts (of the thesis) that you feel is already needed--that's called INITIATIVE.

Mentor: SINONG NAGSABING BAWIN NIYO 'TO??!!!
Kami: uhm...err..sir, kasi..uh..eyng?
Mentor: SINOOOOOOOOOOO!? *growls like King Kong on uh, well, King Kong*
Kami: uh... *starts to cry*

2. People you don't really know becomes an instant part of your life. They become this extension of you and they support your every single comment and judgment. You're like e-mail and chat buddies cause you haven't seen each other.

Like for us, Mr. HAGMAN has made our lives easier but we never really know what he looks like. Sino nga naman si Hagman diba? Wala naman akong pakeelam sa kanya kung di siya importante e. Pero chums na kami ngayon.

An excerpt:
"Additionally, Langer (As cited in Hagman, 2005), adds that the music created by musicians reflect one's own heart, self-experience and are not limited only to the emotions felt by people."

I mean literally, we have like TONS of HAGMAN citations in our revlit. He's the best. :D I'm actually finding his picture right now on the internet to see how he looks like. I haven't had much of the time before to look for him, but I can now.

Okay, wala siyang picture. haha. :p

3. The USB and journal articles are your BESTFRIENDS.

4. Sense of humor makes everything in order. It actually helps. We don't get pressured at all..well, not all of the time. :)

5. For me, Y breaks gives me an added boost. :p

Road trip.

I arrived from Cebu last Monday and went to Bataan Tuesday evening to attend Glenise's 2nd birthday. Here we are now at Got Hub? Internet Cafe in SM Baguio. haha!

Total road trip it is. xP

I'm with
Kevin by the way. God, how I missed him. I'm just so glad we're together again. I can't even stand being away with him anymore...

er.
total cheesy talk alert.

=)

We're checked in at the
Camp John Hay Manor with my mom, kuya Bon and her uber-nice girlfriend, ate Roba. oh yes. we're one big happy family!

Nasa internet cafe kami ni Kevin dahil kailangan niyang
mag-edit ng kanyang thesis. o diba? talk about being studious. :p But it's alright, I understand him. I mean, I got to experience that too.

hmm..
I don't if it's really appropriate to say this here but my Goodness, I am so happy with him right now. I admit, we do have some difficult times but most of it is just pure bliss. I
'm really so happy with him and I know that he is with me too. It's as if I'm falling for him over and over again every single day.

sigh.

aylavet!

..and the summer begins.

Oh yes people, I'm practically superduper excited to fly off to Cebu later! :D Mi familia will spend the whole of Holy Week there and most likely do some bisita iglesia and enjoy the sun, sand and sea!

ooooh boy. My first beach trip this summer.

boohoo though, I'm gonna miss Kevin. :( His family on the other hand will go to Baguio while we're on Cebu. So, we're definitely miles apart. South to North. grrreeeat.

But I guess we do need some time away from each other too and this is basically it. We just have to think about the past 6 months and the coming months ahead. It's definitely a reflective time for the both of us. We've been through quite a lot and we've been taking everything seriously with our relationship and..

okay. I'm blabbering again. zzzzziiiiiipppp.

Bottomline, we have time away from each other in order for us to fully appreciate what we have and cherish it. :D

(and this is the part where everyone says, aaaaawwww..)

---
No Day But Today.

Jonathan Larson, may you rest in peace but by God, you are one talented little ....

I watched Rent the movie (by Christopher Columbus, who by the way, directed the first two Harry Potter films) and I fell in love with every single bit of it in an instant. I was only a Seasons of Love fan, but I never really knew that the whole broadway musical was fantabulous-o. I mean, goodness. It's fantastic. What more if it's actually on broadway?? as in the musical itself??

Image hosting by Photobucket

Thanks to Kevin, he gave me the oppurtunity to appreciate Rent. :) He actually has this double disc thingie of the whole musical. I can't get enough of it! It's practically a staple part of my iPod already. I just loooooooove the songs, the lyrics..the people who played the characters. They're all so chraming and interesting in their own way. :D

Kung ikaw, hindi mo pa napapanood, YOU have to watch it. :D hehe. Grab a fake DVD copy of it first (okay, Bad Influ) BUT throw it away when the ORIGINAL DVD copy is released already. Ang saya e.

...I can now say that i'm a certified Rent-head. :D

---
Finished

Ooh.
Just want to inform everyone that YES, I am now finished with college. :) *sabog confetti*
My friends and I are just waiting for the college rites on June and voila!
we're all certified graduates and unemployed.
hahaha.
funny.
:D

Soc and I got our thesis on hardbound already. how cool is thaaaaat? :p
---
Californiaaaaaaa.

Just finished watching The O.C. Season 3 episodes 1 to 8.
hah. :p
Wala na kasing ginagawa e. hahaha. oh the life. I loooooove it. xP
Now it's Kevin's turn to do the O.C. marathon!
I have episodes 10 to 16 with me!!! *dancedance* I guess there's plenty of time to watch those while waiting to board. :D

oh geez. I miss Kevin already. :(

---
Catching up.

I just hope there's wi-fi or whateverish in our hotel so I could still update my blog/lj. I miss doing things like these. People from LJ has been adding me up. hahaha. I don't really know some of them but well, hello there. :D You are all welcome to take a peek into my silly randominity (okay, gumawa ng sariling salita diba? haha). tss. whatever.

---

Half a year mark, baby. :)

Kevin and I won't be in each others arms (blech. what the hell?) on our monthsary this April. tsktsktsk. How sad, no? It's even our half a year mark already. haha.

Does that even matter to any couple nowadays? egaaaad.

Anyhoo, advanced 6th monthsary to us. :D *iloveyou* :D

MUSH ALL AROUND.

FEEL IT!!!!

Motherfudger.

Has it been that loooooong? FIVE FRUGGIN' WEEKS of not updating!? How can that be? I mean, was I that busy the whole time?

...

uh. yeah. I guess so.

Basically, all I did during those times that I literally was not able to update is this:

- Finished my practicum at McDonald's Philippines.
- Finished Community service at Tahilan
("oh, i'll give you four!")
- Did chapters 3, 4 and 5 of our thesis and revised them 22142354343 times.
- Studied for tests.
- Did powerpoint presentations for reportings.
- Finished Case Study for practicum.

haha. What a loser! What. A. Loser. (does a mighty letter L using thumb and index finger on forehead) Just like what Yael told me, nilalaman na daw siya ng thesis niya. Amen to that my friend, amen to that.

Finally, I have the time to catch up with everyone. How is everyone doing lately? :D

So, what do you guys want to know?

aha. hmm..

oh oh oh. Yeah.

Kevin and I went to the 2nd day of the WWE Raw tour last February (?) It was cool, pyrotechnics and everything! I saw so many La Sallian guys from my college who came and watched too. Even if we just got tickets for Upper B, I still managed to get pictures. If only my camera could talk, minura na niya ako sa kaka-pilit kong i-zoom siya.

Honestly, I'm not a big wrestling fan for the past couple of years. I only got into it when I was still in high school. hmm..the likes of X-Pac and Road Dogg, The Rock and Austin, the time wherein Kane and Undertaker was still finding the truth about whether or not they're siblings. haha. oh yes, that was a long time ago. :p

Image hosting by Photobucket

John Cena and Edge's match was the boooooomb. 'nuff said.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Good enough, I was once again exposed to the wrestling scene and liked it. I liked Carlito and Mick Foley's match when they went here. Laughtrip kasi e and both of them were so cute--in a teddy bear-ish kind of way.

EGAAAAHD. What the hell am I saying? Wrestlers? Cute? in a teddy bear-ish kind of way!? ano to?!

---
Bente na ako.

Believe it or not, I celebrated my birthday for three days. Yep. That's right. THREE DAYS. Isn't that great? :) I can say that after my 18th birthday, this is the second most memorable birthday ever. For one thing, this is my first time to actually be with someone on my birthday. :D mucho fantastico, baby! :D

I had a pre-celebration birthday at Elbow Room, Metrowalk with a handful of my closes friends. Most of them from DLSU and I only invited 4 of my OBMC barkada. It was soooo much fun! We spent the whole night doing videoke, playing billiards and just eating since I requested for a buffet instead of an ala carte type of dinner. I was so happy since I saw how my friends enjoyed the intimate party I just planned three days before
(because of fruggin' thesis. bleck.)

Image hosting by Photobucket

On the day of my birthday, March 12, I was with Kevin the whole time and we had mass together. My mom, tita Norma, ate Wendy, Kevin and I ate at Kimpura in Greenhills. We didn't do much, we just made it a point to be together.
What's cute, we wore matching shirts that day. :p

Image hosting by Photobucket

Lastly, I had a post-birthday dinner with my whole family at Manila Peninsula. My dad requested to move the family celebration to Monday since he was out of town the whole weekend. My uncle Raffy, aunt Jocelyn and my kuya's girlfriend, ate Roba was there too! Gaaawd. The food was excellent. They even surprised me with a happy birthday song and a cake afterwards. haha. :D

Image hosting by Photobucket

After dinner, my dad still joined me, Kevin, my mom and tita Norma to have a little dessert at the Manila Penn lobby. Natuwa ako kasi kahit na mukhang pagod na yung dad ko, hindi parin siya nauna na umuwi sa bahay. He still stayed there with us and told stories about tons of things (actually, I just forgot what he talked about. nyaha.)

After dessert, my dad went on his way home while we waited for mom's car from the valet people. While we were waiting, Imelda Marcos made her way out of the hotel and waited alongside us. My mom and my tita, being a Marcos loyalist eversince, rushed to her and greeted her. :p ang kulit. She was so nice. She was so charismatic..in every sense of the word. By Goodness. I was awed by her presence. I mean, really.

Image hosting by Photobucket

In retrospect, I don't even feel like i'm 20. I sort of had this notion when I was younger that if I turned 20, I would feel different and actually be different. But somehow, I don't feel any drastic change. It's as if i'm still the same old chubbygrubby kid who likes thumbsucking and watching Batibot and Annaluna. ;p I don't complain or anything, maybe because I just had this clear mindset that everything would just be totally different when I turn 20. Weird.

I shall leave you my friends, with an abrupt ending. My freaking back is killing me.
